| Taste of Chicago Festival Will NOT be on Independence Weekend Downtown Chicago Grant Park, 300 S Columbus Drive July 11- 15, 2012 New Date! Chicago, IL The 32nd Annual Taste of Chicago is in full swing. This ethnic and regional event will now be a 5-day festival that begins July 11th and features foods from over 60 restaurants, cooking demonstrations, live music from various artists, family activities, sports area, fire works and so much more. Over 2 million attended the Chicago Festival in 2011, so you know 2012 is going to be even bigger & better! Taste of Chicago is a food lover's dream. If you love to eat and try new foods while mixing it up with the crowd, then Chicago is the place for you to be. Festival Date: July 11-15, 2012. Opening hours each day are from 11am - 8:30pm Admission is free, food tickets US $8 for a strip of 12 and credit cards are accepted. Large items are generally 9-10 tickets, side portions 6-7 tickets, soft drinks 4 tickets. All daily restaurants offer a small "Taste" portion for 1-4 tickets -- a great way to sample a large variety of all the food available. Where: Grant Park -- north/south between Monroe Avenue and Balbo Drive, east/west between Michigan Avenue and Lake Shore Drive. Event details are subject to change.
